The Geography department aims to provide students with an interesting, varied and topical geographical experience that develops their knowledge and understanding of the world around them. Geography also seeks to develop students' attitudes and values regarding a range of issues and ideas. We want students to have a good understanding of the relationship between people and the environment.
Geography is concerned with the study of places, the human and physical processes which shape them and the people who live in them. It helps pupils make sense of their world and surroundings and educates them on sustainable living. Pupils study topics in line with the revised National Curriculum for Geography such as, the global fashion industry, world of sport, and coasts. There are opportunities for fieldwork in each year.
