Religious Education

In RE at Key Stage 3 we study all six of the main world religions in detail as well as the development of religion in society and people whose faith had led them to change the world. Whilst studying the world religions we look at a variety of artefacts and visit places of worship for the different faiths in the surrounding community. By studying these religions and cultures we hope to break down barriers and encourage multi-culturalism.

All students have RE on a weekly basis. The Dudley Agreed Syllabus is taught and students are given the opportunity to learn about all forms of religion. All the major religions are studied in depth and we hope that a wider understanding of other’s beliefs will give our pupils a greater understanding of the world and their place in it.

Parents/carers have the right to withdraw their child from RE lessons if they wish and alternative provision can be made.
